As the humdrum of college essays, tests, quizzes, and projects slowly crushes me to a pulp, I sometimes wonder if all of this is worth it, or if I'm just wasting my young years. I love that song by London Grammar because I think it best encapsulates the feeling of wasted time over uncertainty. Also, I just really love Hannah Reid's ephemeral voice.

I think this outfit is pretty representative of fall/winter with all the black, flannel, and platform shoes. Even though it's still like 80 degrees in SoCal, I want to start integrating more of my cold-weather clothes for crying out loud! When am I gonna be able to bust out my trusty leather moto and furry cardigan? Bring on the peppermint mochas and extra hour of sleep, I'm definitely ready.

A couple weeks ago, I was contacted by a representative of to partake in their #MyCosmoStyle challenge! For those who haven't heard of it, they picked bloggers to style outfits they'd wear to restaurants/nightclubs at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. I had a lot of fun so I hope you enjoy the post!

If someone asked me to describe my "dressed-up" style in three words, they'd be "t-shirts over dresses." I love how this look is upscale with the sleek boots and refined grid pattern, but also quirky with neon sunglasses and a conversation-starting bag. I'd wear this to sample some goat cheese ravioli and red velvet cookies at The Wicked Spoon, a casual brunching/American spot, or drool by the AllSaints Spitalfields.

I think midi skirts are a great way to look trendy yet tasteful. This one in particular is unique with its metallic gold leather and elevated with a flash of leg. To keep it from being too conservative, I added this Acne moto, which has had me drooling ever since I saw it on Eugenie of Feral Creature. At the Cosmopolitan, this would be my outfit for the social club Rose.Rabbit.Lie. I was intrigued by the title, and upon further investigation, I found it to be a "casually elegant" environment with an unconventional experience*.

Once again, thank you so much to Ms. Jennifer Whitehair of for asking to participate in the challenge!
