This past weekend I went to San Diego - which obviously meant hitting up Fashion Valley Mall to check out the Urban Outfitters, Zara, and LUSH! The closest Lush is half an hour to 45 minutes away from me, so I definitely took advantage. The only other thing I've tried from Lush is the Ocean Salt Scrub (which smells amazing but is pretty abrasive for an exfoliant.) These masks were $7.95 apiece and the main downsides are that they only last 3 weeks and must be refrigerated at all times as they have no preservatives.

I was a little wary of this mask at first, but it's my new holy grail mask! My skin was freaking out so I was looking for something that would help control the oil. After 1 night of this mask, my skin was completely clear. Some pimples did come back by the end of the day, but the amount was definitely reduced. Continued usage provides the same results - the acne will disappear within a couple of hours and the pores are tightened. It doesn't smell fruity, and you definitely can smell the garlic, but it's not that unpleasant.

I use this mask only twice a week to avoid damaging my skin and I absolutely love it. The first time I used it, my skin was as smooth as a baby's bottom and my pores were nonexistent! The lady at the counter who was helping me out said that it would also reduce the amount of oil in my face, but I haven't seen that yet. However as far as an exfoliant it's super effective. To take it off, I rub in small circular motions to really scrub the skin underneath. Also, it smells of mint and lavender - which is really soothing.

I hope you enjoyed this detour from the fashion/outfit posts, and I'll definitely be trying to do more beauty reviews in the future, so if you have any skincare or other makeup products you'd recommend, let me know! (:

Despite having a bunch of summer homework and college applications looming in the distance, life's kind of been a beach for me. Literally. This past weekend I took a break from marathoning Orange is the New Black and went to Huntington Beach for some sun, sand, and strolling.

Last Sunday was the second Sunday of June - hence the day of the monthly Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena! It's pretty much a huge collection of antiques, furniture, clothing, jewelry, records, knick knacks, etc. being sold in the parking lot of the Rose Bowl Stadium. The last time I went was in September 2012, and quite frankly my first time was a lot better. I saw practically no shoe vendors this time around which made me sad, because I really wanted to buy some docs and/or birks. :/ I literally only bought one clothing item this time around. HOWEVER!! This trip was still amazing because there were lots of well-dressed humans and I did find some jewelry and sunnies, but most importantly I bought my new baby succulents Rose & Leila AND I BOUGHT A POLAROID FOR $20!!! I really wanted one to capture my senior year memories and it's in amazing condition so I'm pretty stoked.
I'll be posting a May/early June haul video sometime in the near future because I've finally got a laptop with a legit editing software & I'm trying to get into YouTube again.

Stay rad!

I think I have a problem... I'm addicted to American Apparel mens' t-shirts. They're ridiculously soft and tbh I just need them in my ever growing collection of black/white/gray t-shirts. I'm also absolutely in LOVE with these high-waisted jeans that I got at Urban Outfitters last Monday. I went to the Americana at Brand in Glendale and they were having a 50% off sale items event for Memorial Day. These jeans are RIDICULOUSLY high waisted and for $15, I just couldn't pass them up!

Today I hung out with one of my amazing gal pals, Ferris, who also took the photos for this blog post I might add. We went to the Crossings in Corona for some sbux, panera, and ulta. I have some reviews on the Bath & Body Works facial masks as well as the 24 HR Maybelline Color Tattoo in the works!!
